Phoenix has an extensive list of Agreements with Doctors.  For services in hospital, in many cases there will be No Gap, or a Known Gap, in which case you will be advised beforehand.  Agreement Doctors will usually bill Phoenix direct.  Note that there may be Doctors with Agreements that do not appear on the "Doctor Search" - ask your Doctor!

This is available to all health fund members eligible for Medicare, and is not means tested.  We recommend that you register for this scheme.

Increases to the Federal Government Contributions Rebate commenced on 1st April 2005.

For memberships with an individual aged 65 to 69 the Rebate increases from 30% to 35%.  For memberships with any individual aged 70 or over the Rebate increases to 40%.

The Federal Governments Lifetime Health Cover loading may apply if you are over the age of 30 and either:

• Taking out hospital cover for the first time since July 2000
• Have not had continuous hospital cover since July 2000

        Note: Lifetime Health Cover loadings do not apply to anyone born before 1st July 1934.
